DINOSAURS and other Prehistoric Creatures – We have over a 100 recreations of prehistoric life to view and experience from our colossal 67′ Apatosaurus to the tiniest pterosaur ever discovered, only the size of a hummingbird! You will find scientific specimens and pop culture dinos here. Most are located on the Mesozoic Nature Trail with over a mile of walking trails.
Dig It! Fossil Dig Site – allows kids to explore several different fossil exhibits via brushes and rubber mulch to identify what they have found and learn a little about what’s like to put together pieces of an ancient puzzle. This area has several displays and more a than a few fossil reproductions from real fossils like our life size Tyrannosaurus skull! If your on the tired side have a seat and watch a video on paleontology and see just what it takes to DIG IT!
Tiny Terrors – is a SMALL exhibit showcasing the smallest prehistoric creatures! Here you will find tiny pterosaurs, birdlike dinosaurs, early reptiles and a few very recognizable faces!
Terrors of the Deep – Dinosaurs may have ruled the land but who was king of the seas? Take a seaside tour and find out what lived below the waves.
Fort Challenger – Our playground area featuring a couple forts and other interactive areas is named after the famous scientist Professor Challenger who discovered a Lost World, now you can do the same!
